How I Use AI to Clear My Mental Load Every Monday Morning

By Monday morning, I already feel behind.
Before 9am, I have usually answered school WhatsApp messages, packed lunches, forgotten something important, mentally planned dinner, thought about the laundry, remembered three emails I still need to answer, and worried about at least ten things I have not done yet.
And somehow, the entire week has not even properly started.
For a long time, I thought I just needed to “manage my time better.”
Be more disciplined.
More organized.
More productive.
But honestly?
I do not think women are overwhelmed because they are lazy.
I think we are carrying too many invisible tabs open at the same time.
Especially mothers.
Especially women dealing with stress, hormonal changes, brain fog, mental load, and the pressure of trying to hold everything together while still functioning normally.
At some point, your brain stops feeling productive and starts feeling crowded.
That is the difference.
And strangely enough, AI became one of the most helpful tools I have found to calm that mental noise.
Not because it does the work for me.
Because it helps me organize the chaos before it turns into paralysis.
The AI Prompt I Use Every Monday Morning
Every Monday, I open Claude and I do what I call a “mental unload.”
I write everything.
The errands.
The meals.
The random thoughts.
The blog ideas.
The things I keep postponing.
The appointments.
The things stressing me in the background.
The tasks sitting in my brain taking energy even when I am not actively thinking about them.
Then I use this prompt:
“Act like a calm executive assistant for an overwhelmed mom running a household, a blog, and two kids’ schedules.
Help me organize this week without overwhelming me.
Prioritize only what actually matters.
Separate:
urgent
important
can wait
mental clutter
Then build me:
a realistic weekly plan
meal ideas
content tasks
errands
one thing I can completely ignore this week.”
And honestly?
Sometimes I feel physically calmer after reading the response.
Not because AI magically fixed my life.
But because everything suddenly feels visible instead of mentally spinning everywhere at the same time.
One Monday, Claude answered with this sentence:
“You are carrying too many open loops.”
And I actually stopped for a second.
Because that is exactly what mental load feels like.
Open loops everywhere.
Things unfinished.
Things remembered halfway.
Things mentally screaming in the background while you are trying to make breakfast or answer an email or function like a normal human being.
I think a lot of overwhelmed women are not struggling with productivity.
They are struggling with cognitive overload.
Too many decisions.
Too many reminders.
Too many invisible responsibilities.
And during perimenopause especially, I noticed that mental clutter hits differently.
The brain fog.
The exhaustion.
The feeling of constantly trying to catch up mentally.
It becomes heavy.
That is why using AI for mental load support has helped me more than I expected.
Not in a “girl boss optimization” way.
In a very human way.
It helps me:
organize my week
reduce decision fatigue
structure my thoughts
meal plan faster
brainstorm content
stop spiraling
prioritize realistically
remove some of the mental pressure
And maybe the biggest thing?
It helps me stop carrying everything alone inside my head.
A lot of people talk about AI for business.
But I honestly think AI tools for moms, overwhelmed women, and mental load management are going to become much bigger conversations over the next few years.
Because we are tired.
Not weak.
Not incapable.
Just mentally overloaded.
I use Claude and ChatGPT differently depending on what I need.
Sometimes I use ChatGPT when I want fast brainstorming, structure, or help organizing ideas quickly.
And sometimes I use Claude when I need calmer, more thoughtful responses that feel less overwhelming to read.
Both became tools that help me reduce mental clutter instead of carrying everything alone in my head all day.
And honestly, I do not think AI should turn women into productivity machines.
I think it should help us feel less mentally overloaded inside our real lives.
Less scattered.
Less exhausted.
Less like we are trying to remember and manage everything at the same time.
That alone changes a lot.
And if your brain also feels like it has 47 tabs open before 10am every morning…
You are probably not failing.
You are probably carrying too much at the same time.
